Install the Bevy Organizer App, open a live event, and check people in by swipe or QR scan. Search the attendee list, add a walk-up registration when you have permission, and use web check-in when the app is not available.
The Bevy Organizer App is the mobile day-of tool for in-person check-in. Organizers and admins use it at the door to mark attendees present, scan ticket QR codes when enabled, search large lists, and add walk-up registrations when their role allows it.
- Swipe check-in — swipe an attendee’s name right to mark them checked in (the row turns green).
- QR scan — scan the code from a ticket email or PDF when your community sends QR codes on tickets.
- Web check-in — if you cannot use the app, open Check-in attendees from the profile menu in a mobile browser (printing is not available there).
Note: Ticket emails and PDFs include a QR code only when an admin turns on QR codes in ticket emails and PDFs in Style settings (Functionality). If attendees do not see a QR code, staff can still check them in from the list.
Get the app
- Download Bevy Organizer for iOS or Android.
- Enter your community URL without
https://orwww— for examplestartupgrind.com. - Sign in with the same email and password you use for the dashboard.
Tip: The app is not on the Amazon Appstore or Fire tablets. On those devices, sign in to your community in a mobile browser and use Check-in attendees from the profile menu. Badge printing is not available in the browser.
What events you see
The app lists live events (published, not yet ended) that you can check in for:
- Admins (and anyone with community-wide check-in permission) see all live events they can check in for, including hidden events.
- Chapter organizers see public live events for chapters where they have check-in permission.
- Hidden events do not appear for chapter organizers or check-in-only staff in the Organizer App, even if those people can open the same event on the web. Use Check-in attendees in a browser, or ask an admin, when you need to check in a hidden event.
Check an attendee in
Open the event, then use either path below.
Swipe from the list
- Find the attendee on the list (or search first — see below).
- Swipe the name to the right to check them in. The name turns green.
Scan a QR code
- Select the QR code icon.
- Allow camera access if prompted.
- Scan the QR code on the attendee’s ticket email or printable ticket PDF.
Scanning checks the matching registration in for that event. If the scan fails, search by name or the email they used to register, then swipe to check in.
Search and sort attendees
- Select Search and type a first name, last name, or email.
- To change sort order, open the list icon and choose first name, last name, or purchase date.
- When you find the person, swipe right to check in (or left for print — see below).
Add an attendee
- Select the user (add) icon.
- Enter the attendee details and select Add Attendee.
- Swipe right to check them in — adding someone does not check them in automatically.
Important: Adding a registration requires add-attendee permission. Check-in-only staff who can scan or swipe may not see the add control. Ask an organizer or admin if you need someone added from the dashboard instead.
Print a badge
When badge printing is available for your community:
- Connect your phone to the same Wi‑Fi network as a Wi‑Fi-enabled badge printer.
- Open your event in the app, swipe an attendee’s name to the left, and select Print badge.
- Choose the printer (iOS shows the system printer list; on Android use Select Printer or All printers if none appear).
The label includes the attendee’s name and a scannable QR code. After a successful test print, open the gear icon on the attendee list and turn on Automatically print badges on check-in if you want badges to print when someone is checked in.
Badge printing is not available in the browser check-in view.
See RSVP and check-in counts
The Organizer App focuses on the attendee list, not community analytics. To see registration and check-in totals:
- Open the event in the dashboard (desktop or mobile browser).
- Open the Registrations area for that event.
- Refresh the page when you need the latest counts after a busy check-in period.
See Manage event registrations for the full list, exports, and dashboard check-in.
If you do not see any events
- There may be no live (published, not ended) events for chapters you organize.
- Your account may lack check-in permission for those events.
- The event may be hidden. Hidden events appear in the app only for admins (and other accounts with community-wide event-view access), not for chapter organizers.
- Confirm you signed in with the same account you use on the web, and that the community URL matches your community (no
https://orwww).
