When badge printing is enabled for your community, use the Bevy Organizer App at the door to print a name badge for one attendee, or turn on automatic printing so a badge prints when you check someone in. Badge printing needs a Wi‑Fi badge printer on the same network as your phone and is not available in browser check-in.
Name badge printing is a day-of job in the Bevy Organizer App. Install the app, open a live event you can check in for, and connect to the same Wi‑Fi network as your badge printer. For swipe check-in, QR scan, and who can see which events, use that Organizer App article. For dashboard list check-in (no printing), see Manage event registrations.
| Mode | How you start it | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Print one badge | Swipe the attendee’s name left → Print badge → choose the printer. | Testing the printer, reprinting one person, or printing without checking them in yet. |
| Auto-print on check-in | After a successful test print, open the gear icon on the attendee list and turn on Automatically print badges on check-in. | Busy door lines — a badge prints when you swipe right (or otherwise check the person in) in the app. |
Note: Badge printing is available only when Bevy has enabled it for your community. If you do not see Print badge after a left swipe, ask Bevy Support or your Customer Success Manager whether badge printing is on for your community.
Before you print
- Install and sign in to the Bevy Organizer App (iOS or Android) with the same account you use on the web. The app is not on the Amazon Appstore or Fire tablets.
- Confirm badge printing is enabled for your community (see the Note above).
- Use a Wi‑Fi-enabled badge printer with label stock loaded. A dedicated badge printer is recommended.
- Connect your phone and the printer to the same Wi‑Fi network.
- Open the live event in the app so you see the attendee list.
Important: Badge printing is not available in browser check-in (Check-in Attendees from the profile menu) or on the Registrations tab. If you cannot use the Organizer App, you can still check people in from the browser — you just cannot print badges there.
Print one attendee’s badge
- On the attendee list, find the person (use Search if the list is long).
- Swipe their name to the left.
- Select Print badge.
- Choose the printer:
- iOS — pick from the system printer list.
- Android — use Select Printer. If none appear, open All printers, select the printer, then print (or allow it to print automatically).
The label includes the attendee’s name and a scannable QR code. Swiping left to print does not check the person in — swipe right (or use your usual check-in path) when you want to mark them present.
Tip: Print a test badge for yourself or a known registrant before the door opens. Confirm the printer, label stock, and Wi‑Fi before you turn on auto-print.
Automatically print badges on check-in
Use auto-print when you want a badge every time someone is checked in from the Organizer App.
- Complete at least one successful Print badge test (steps above) so the app and printer are paired for the event.
- On the attendee list, select the gear icon at the top.
- Turn on Automatically print badges on check-in.
- Dismiss the settings panel (tap above the popup) to return to the list.
- Check attendees in as usual (for example, swipe a name right). A badge prints when check-in succeeds.
Note: Auto-print applies in the Organizer App for that event session after you enable the gear setting. It does not print from Registrations or browser Check-in Attendees.
If badges will not print
- Confirm you are in the Bevy Organizer App on a live event — not browser check-in.
- Confirm your phone and the printer are on the same Wi‑Fi and the printer is powered on with labels loaded.
- Try Print badge again with a left swipe. On Android, use All printers if the list is empty.
- If Print badge never appears after a left swipe, badge printing may not be enabled for your community — contact Bevy Support or your Customer Success Manager.
- If check-in works but auto-print does not, turn the gear setting off and on after another successful manual print, and confirm you are checking people in from the app (not only from the web).
