Welcome to Bevy release notes! Every month we share product updates, fixes, and general improvements.
Summary
New Features
Team member role email audience
When you create a new automated email in the admin dashboard, you can select Chapter team role in the Audience field. When you select this audience, you can also select the specific role you want to include in the audience. Using this audience makes it easy to send chapter team members exactly what they need to know.
Mobile app updates
When we celebrated the CMX app launch, we heard a lot of excitement from our community customers. Here are some more exciting improvements to our app:
- Filter events by tag
- Display ticket venue type
- Hybrid session labels
- Search events by keywords and tags
- Hidden agendas
- Agenda preview
Event banner on Meetup events
Now when you create an event for a chapter that is connected to Meetup, the banner image syncs with all the other event details. By default, the banner image displays as the event cover photo on Meetup.
Build a link to share filtered upcoming events
You can build a custom URL to send a link to someone and show them a list of events instead of a single. Using the event tag to filter the list, you can add the tags to the end of a URL and share the link. When someone opens the link, they open the Upcoming events page filtered for the event tags you included. For example, https://events.cmxhub.com/events/#/list?tags=Engagement,Leadership%20Development,Event%20management.
You can also add a UTM parameter to the end of this URL for added tracking.
To make sure that you can use all the event tags you create, new event tags can only contain letters, numbers, colons (:), semicolons (;), apostrophes ('), and hyphens (-).

Fixes
- When you set up your community on Bevy you define a default value for the Sender email field. We fixed an issue that caused that value to not display so no one was using the default value. Now it displays so people can use it.
