Link an existing Bevy chapter to an existing Meetup group in your Pro network. Meetup Pro must already be connected at the community level.
Use this article when the chapter already exists and the Meetup group already exists in your Pro network. Community connect steps: Connect to Meetup Pro. Creating a chapter and a new Meetup group: Create a chapter and connect it to Meetup. How events and RSVPs sync after the chapter is linked: Meetup Pro integration.
Bevy can keep historical chapter↔Meetup links when the group is still in the connected Pro network. Use the steps below when a chapter and group are not linked yet, or when automatic linking did not apply.
Link an existing Meetup group
- In the Admin Dashboard, open the chapter you want to link.
- In the Chapter Dashboard, select Settings, then open Integrations (or the Meetup section when it appears on chapter settings).
- Under Connect a Meetup Group for this chapter, select Link an existing group.
- Search for the Meetup group, then select it from the results.
- Select Save chapter.
Note: The Meetup controls appear when Meetup Pro is connected for the community and your role can view chapter integrations. By default, HQ admins see them. If you do not see Integrations or the Meetup section, finish Connect to Meetup Pro first, or ask an HQ admin.
Tip: Search matches Meetup groups in your connected Pro network (name, city, and country). If the group you need never appears, confirm it belongs to that Pro network, then reconnect or confirm the Pro Network URL-Name in Connect to Meetup Pro.
After you save
- Bevy stores the Meetup group link on the chapter.
- In the Admin Dashboard, a Meetup icon appears next to chapters that are connected to Meetup.
- Published events for this chapter can sync to Meetup when community auto-publish settings allow it. Configure those toggles in Connect to Meetup Pro. Behavior details: Meetup Pro integration.
When a group does not connect
If linking fails, the group is often outside the Pro network, or Meetup Pro is not connected for the community. Reconnect or confirm the Pro Network URL-Name in Connect to Meetup Pro, then try again. Contact Bevy Support if the group should be in network and still does not link.
If you need a brand-new Meetup group instead of linking one that already exists, use Create a chapter and connect it to Meetup (or choose Create new on this same Meetup form).
