Add chapter sponsors to event sponsor tiers and partners to an event from the Event Dashboard, including search, create new, reorder, remove, and how logos appear on the event page.
Use the Event Dashboard Sponsors and Partners pages to place chapter sponsor and partner logos on a specific event. Sponsor tiers come from the event type. Global sponsors are managed separately in the Admin Dashboard and are not selected from this search.
Note: The Event Dashboard Sponsors and Partners nav items appear only when your community has those features turned on and you have permission to view sponsors. If you do not see them, ask your HQ admin.
Open Sponsors or Partners
- Open the event in the Event Dashboard.
- In the event left nav, select Sponsors to manage tiered sponsors, or Partners to manage partners.
Maintain the chapter library of profiles in the Chapter Dashboard. See Manage sponsors and partners.
Understand sponsor tiers
On Sponsors, each accordion is a sponsor tier for this event’s event type. Tier names and order are configured on the event type by an admin—not on this page.
| Concept | What it means |
|---|---|
| Sponsor tier | A named group on the event Sponsors page (for example Gold or Silver). Tier names come from the event type. Each tier has its own Add Sponsor control and list |
| Partners | A separate Event Dashboard page. Partners are not assigned to sponsor tiers |
| Chapter profile | A sponsor or partner record in the Chapter Dashboard library. You search that library (or create a new profile) when placing logos on an event |
Warning: If you see No sponsor tiers are configured for this event type, this event type has no local sponsor tiers. You cannot add tiered sponsors until an admin adds tiers for that event type. Partners can still be managed on the Partners page when partners are enabled. See Configure event types.
Add an existing sponsor to a tier
- On the event Sponsors page, open the tier accordion where the sponsor should appear.
- Select Add Sponsor.
- In Add Sponsor to [tier name], search by company or contact name.
- Select Add next to the sponsor. Sponsors already placed on any tier for this event are hidden from the list.
- Close the modal when you are done adding.
- Save the event (see Save your changes).
Search results come from this chapter’s sponsor profiles only. Global sponsors do not appear here.
Create a new sponsor from the event
- Open Add Sponsor for a tier.
- Select Create new.
- On Sponsor info, add a logo if you have one, enter the company name (required), and optionally add a URL and description.
- Optionally open Contact info and enter Name, Email, and Phone.
- Select Save.
- Back in the search list, select Add to place the new sponsor on the tier, then save the event.
Creating the profile does not by itself place it on the event—you still select Add. For how that create step also makes the sponsor a chapter sponsor, see How event sponsors become chapter sponsors.
| Field or section | Notes |
|---|---|
| Logo | Optional image for the card |
| Company name | Required |
| URL | Optional public website link |
| Description | Optional public description |
| Contact info | Optional Name, Email, and Phone for your team. Not shown publicly |
How event sponsors become chapter sponsors
There is no separate “convert to chapter sponsor” action. Event sponsors and chapter sponsors share the same chapter library profiles.
- Create new from the Event Dashboard creates a chapter Sponsors library profile right away. The create modal states: This sponsor will also be shown on your chapter page. Bevy also creates a draft invoice with zero amounts (same as creating from the Chapter Dashboard).
- Add an existing sponsor from search only places that chapter profile on the event. It does not create a second chapter record.
- Edit on an event sponsor card updates the shared chapter profile.
- Remove from the event removes the placement only. The chapter profile stays in the library.
To change whether a profile is Active or Inactive on the chapter page, or to remove it from the chapter library, use the Chapter Dashboard. See Manage sponsors and partners.
Partners work the same way: Create new from the event adds a chapter Partners library profile (no invoice). The modal states that the partner will also be shown on your chapter page.
Reorder or move sponsors between tiers
- On the event Sponsors page, drag a sponsor card by its handle to change order within a tier.
- Drag a card onto another tier (or onto a card in another tier) to move it between tiers.
- Save the event.
Tip: A sponsor can appear in only one tier per event. After you add a sponsor to a tier, it no longer appears in the Add Sponsor search for other tiers on that event.
Edit or remove a sponsor from the event
- On a sponsor card, select Edit to update the chapter profile (Sponsor info or Contact info), then Save in the modal. Profile edits apply to the chapter record.
- To remove the sponsor from this event only, select Remove, then confirm with OK.
- Save the event so the removal is stored.
Removing a sponsor from the event does not delete the chapter profile. To remove a profile from the chapter library, use Manage sponsors and partners.
Add partners to an event
- In the event left nav, select Partners.
- Select Add Partner.
- In Add Partner, search by company or contact name, or select Create new to add a partner profile (Partner info and Contact info), then Save.
- Select Add next to the partner you want on this event.
- Save the event.
Partners do not use sponsor tiers. Creating a new partner from the event adds it to the chapter Partners library and does not create an invoice. Creating the profile does not by itself place it on the event—you still select Add.
Reorder, edit, or remove partners
- Drag partner cards to change display order on the event.
- Select Edit on a card to update the chapter partner profile, then Save in the modal.
- Select Remove, confirm with OK, then save the event to remove the partner from this event only.
Save your changes
Adding, reordering, moving, or removing sponsors and partners on these pages updates the event form. Save before you leave:
- For unpublished events, use Save draft (and other save actions in the action bar as available).
- For published events, use the publish/save controls in the action bar so changes go live.
If you navigate away with unsaved changes, Bevy prompts you to stay or leave.
Where sponsors and partners appear on the event page
When the event page includes the page builder Sponsors component, logos typically appear in these groups:
| Group | Source |
|---|---|
| Global sponsors | Active community-wide sponsors from the Admin Dashboard (not selected on the event Sponsors page) |
| Local sponsors | Sponsors you place in event sponsor tiers on the Event Dashboard Sponsors page |
| Partners | Partners you place on the Event Dashboard Partners page |
For component details and display groups, see About event page builder components. Global sponsors are managed in Manage global sponsors.
