Welcome to Bevy release notes! Every month we share product updates, fixes, and general improvements.
Summary
New Features
New Report: Chapter Email Subscriptions
A new report was added to the marketing section of the admin report download center called chapter email subscriptions. HQ admins can use this report to discover how many chapter members are subscribed or unsubscribed to a specific chapter, in addition to viewing the information for each email subscriber. To learn more about this new report, refer to the reference guide.
Admin Events Dashboard Updates
The visualizations on the events' dashboard in the admin dashboard were reordered to improve dashboard usability. The most significant change is the attendance section, which appears directly below the overview section. Furthermore, new event attendance metrics, such as the average number of events per attendee and average attendees per event, were added to the attendance section.
SMS Sharing on Event Pages (mobile devices only)
To increase and simplify the share of event pages, we’ve added new functionality that enables mobile users to share event pages via SMS (text messaging) on mobile devices. Enabling this new functionality is quick. First, access the Social Network Sharing section on the settings tab in the admin dashboard and check the SMS option. Learn more here. Please note: The SMS icon will only appear when viewing the event page on mobile.
Event Venue Location Autocomplete
We have released a new autocomplete feature to make filling out the location information for event venue location easier. When entering venue location information for an event, organizers can start typing an address or place name and select from the autocomplete results. This will speed up event creation and help improve the accuracy of location information.
Chapter Page Builder – Releasing May 2
Starting today, HQ admins can access the chapter page builder via the admin dashboard. Similar to event page builder, chapter page builder is a centralized place in Bevy where HQ admins (HQ), with admin dashboard permissions, can create and customize a default chapter page template that local chapters can leverage. Connect with your CSM today to learn more.
Fixes
Here are highlights of issues resolved
-
Large Email Send Performance Improvements – Previously, chapter newsletter sends to list sizes over 100K+ would face some instability and slower send times. We have released a new email deployment infrastructure that has increased stability for newsletter sends with higher volumes while speeding up send times by 25-40%.
-
Preventing Access to Events in Inactive Chapters – There was an issue that allowed site visitors to access event pages for events hosted in inactive chapters. This has now been fixed, and only admins and chapter team members can access events hosted in inactive chapters.
