Learn what the event page builder does, how the default event template and one-off event pages work together, and how to turn the builder on, edit, preview, and save event pages.
The event page builder is a no-code editor for designing your community's event pages. You drag layouts, elements, and components onto a canvas, and Bevy fills in dynamic details, such as the event title, date, and chapter name, when the page is published.
You can use the page builder in two places:
- Default event template — the design every event page uses, across all chapters. You edit it in the admin dashboard.
- One-off event page — a custom design for a single event. You edit it from that event in the chapter dashboard.
How the template and one-off pages work together

After you save a one-off event page, it no longer receives changes made to the default event template. To bring it back in line with the template, open the page builder for that event and select Restore default template.
Parts of the page builder

Turn the event page builder on or off
Set up the default event template before you turn the event page builder on, so your published events convert to a design you're happy with.
1. Edit and save the default event template. See Edit the default event template.
2. In the admin dashboard, select Settings.
3. In the Page Builder section, select the Enable event page builder checkbox.
4. Save your settings.
To turn it off, clear the same checkbox and save.
Turning the event page builder on converts all published event pages to the page builder version. Turning it off returns all published event pages to the legacy event page.
Edit the default event template
1. In the admin dashboard, select Page Builder.
2. Select Edit default template.
3. Make your changes on the canvas.
4. Select Save.
Customize a single event page
1. In the chapter dashboard, select Events.
2. Create an event, or open an existing one to edit it.
3. Select Page Builder.
4. Make your changes on the canvas.
5. Select Save.
Move, duplicate, and delete items
Select an item on the canvas to show its toolbar. The toolbar works on one item at a time.

| Delete | Removes the item and everything inside it. |
Delete doesn't ask you to confirm. If you remove something by mistake, select undo in the top bar before you save. To select the container around an item, press Esc.
Preview your page
Check how your design looks on different screens before you save.
1. In the top bar, next to Preview in, select the desktop, tablet, or phone icon.
2. When you're done, select Back to edit.
To see more of the page while you edit, use Zoom in the top bar. It goes from 25% to 100%.
Save or restore your changes
Changes apply only when you select Save. If you leave the page builder without saving, your changes are lost.
To start over from the default event template, select Restore default template in the top bar, then select Yes, restore it.
Restore default template replaces everything on the canvas with the current default event template and discards the changes you've made.
