Learn what each element in the event page builder does, where its content comes from, and which settings you can change.
Elements — the text, images, buttons, and icons you add to an event page. Some elements pull their content from your event and site settings. Others let you write or upload your own.
Add an element to the page
- Open the event page in the page builder.
- In the Add to canvas panel, find the Elements section.
- Drag the element you want onto the canvas.
- Select the element on the canvas to open its settings, then update its content or appearance.

Elements that pull from your event
You update these elements at the source. The event page picks up the change automatically.
- Social sharing icons — the share buttons for the networks you turned on in your event settings. You can change the icon color, but you can't change the order.
- Event tags — keywords that describe the event. You manage tags and their order in the event dashboard. In the page builder, you can only change the color.
- Event venue chip — a label that shows Hybrid event, Virtual event, or In-person event, based on the event's venue type. You can change the color.
- Dynamic text — text that updates from your event or chapter details. To use it, add the element, then choose a field from the Source list in its settings. The available fields are: event title, event long description, event short description, date and time, event location, virtual event instructions, chapter name, event attendee count, and attendee audience type.
Event tags appear only if event tags are turned on for your site and the event has at least one tag. On phones, pages with more than five tags show the first five and a link to show the rest.
Elements you customize
- Text — content you type and update yourself. You can change the text style (body or heading 1 to 6), font, size, color, alignment, and style (bold, italic, and underline). You can also add links and bulleted or numbered lists. Fonts are limited to the ones enabled for your site, and text size ranges from 12 to 80.
- Button — a button that sends people somewhere. Choose a button action, such as a link to a custom URL, a section (anchor) on the page, or an event action like joining a virtual event. Then adjust the button's color, corners, size, spacing, and alignment.
- Image — an image you upload, or an existing event banner, event thumbnail, or chapter banner. You can add alt text, set the width, round the corners, choose the alignment, and add a drop shadow.
- Video — an embedded video. Paste a link from YouTube, Vimeo, or Vidyard, or choose the event's wrap-up video. You can set the width, alignment, and drop shadow.
- Divider — a line that separates content on the page. You can change its alignment, width, and drop shadow.
Uploaded images must be 2 MB or smaller, and in .png, .svg, or .jpeg format.
Add alt text to every image you upload so people using screen readers know what the image shows.
