This article outlines how to configure and manage prebuilt Embed It widgets.
Overview
Bevy offers a collection of prebuilt widgets sourced from popular social platforms, enabling admins to effortlessly showcase feeds and content from these platforms. These widgets include:
- X (Twitter) embedded timeline widget
- Instagram profile posts
- YouTube playlist
- Facebook public page
- Spotify playlist
How Do Prebuilt Widgets Work?
Prebuilt widgets facilitate the seamless integration of content from diverse sources onto your chapter pages. These widgets comprise of three fundamental elements:
- Embed code: Bevy has built the prebuilt widgets using embed code provided by the respective external content sources; YouTube, X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook and Spotify.
- Variables: The variable is a unique identifier for the embedded content. It resides in the embed code to ensure that the right content is pulled and displayed for each widget. The Embed It widget design offers an intuitive interface that simplifies the process for admins to configure the variable for each of the prebuilt widgets.
To learn more about the respective variable for each prebuilt widget, see the Prebuilt Widgets Available section.
Please be aware that the embed code for prebuilt widgets cannot be viewed or modified. Bevy's prebuilt widgets come with default code sourced from various origins, limiting their customization options directly within Bevy. However, you can use Embed It's custom widget feature to integrate custom embed code, tailoring the widgets to meet individual preferences and needs.
