Enable Bevy’s five prebuilt Embed It widgets—X, Instagram, YouTube playlist, Facebook, and Spotify—set their variables, and choose which chapter pages they appear on.
Note: Prebuilt widgets are included with Embed It. If you do not see Widgets under Page builder, contact your customer success manager. Custom widgets are a separate paid feature—see Create a custom Embed It widget.
Known limitation: The X (formerly Twitter) prebuilt widget uses X’s own timeline embed. Depending on the viewer’s X login state, cookies, and third-party tracking settings, the timeline may be incomplete, empty, or stale. Bevy injects X’s embed snippet and cannot fix that behavior. Allowing third-party cookies for X, or viewing while signed into X, can change what appears for a given visitor.
What prebuilt widgets are
Prebuilt widgets are the five social embeds Bevy supplies for chapter pages: X, Instagram, YouTube playlist, Facebook, and Spotify. Each shows a star badge. Admins can enable them, set defaults, and choose availability. Admins cannot change the embed code, rename the widget, or delete it.
Open the Widgets tab
- Open the Admin Dashboard.
- Select Page builder.
- Select the Widgets tab.
Path: Admin Dashboard → Page builder → Widgets. Available on shows a Chapter chip when enabled, or Disabled when not enabled on any page type.
Set up a prebuilt widget
- Select Setup (disabled) or Edit (enabled). Same modal.
- Enter the variable value for that widget.
- Under Available on, select Chapter or Disabled.
- Review the preview.
- Select Save.
Tip: After you enable a widget, chapter organizers can override the default variable value for their chapter under Settings → Page widgets.
Variables for each widget
Each prebuilt widget has one variable. Admins set the community default; organizers can override per chapter.

If a value is missing or incorrect, the third-party embed usually fails to load or shows an empty frame. Bevy does not validate third-party IDs before save.
X (Twitter) embedded timeline widget
X’s embedded timeline widget gives you the ability to embed a collection of posts (known as a timeline) on your Bevy chapter pages. Bevy’s prebuilt widget for X’s embedded timeline widget utilizes the default embed code and layout settings from X. Variables ID for the X widget
The X widget requires an “X handle” to be inputted. The format is the handle name preceded by “@”.
Instagram profile widget
If an Instagram account is public, its profile can be embedded on a chapter page via the Instagram profile prebuilt widget. This widget allows Instagram profiles to be shared along with the username and a link to the Instagram profile. YouTube playlist widget
The YouTube playlist prebuilt widget allows admins to add a YouTube video playlist to chapter pages. To learn more about how the YouTube embed code works, see the YouTube help doc for Embed videos & playlists.
Variables ID for the YouTube playlist widget
The YouTube playlist widget requires a Playlist ID to be inputted. To learn more about how to find a YouTube playlist ID, see the YouTube “Share playlist” help doc.
Facebook page plugin widget
The Facebook Page plugin prebuilt widget “lets you easily embed and promote any public Facebook Page on your website. Just like on Facebook, your visitors can like and share the Page…” To learn more about how the Facebook page plugin embed code works, see the Meta/Facebook help doc for Page Plugin.
Variables ID for the Facebook Page Plugin Widget
The Facebook Page plugin widget requires a Page name to be inputted.
Facebook only allows pages with public posts to be embedded on websites/webpages.
Spotify Playlist Widget
The Spotify Playlist prebuilt widget Embeds “allow you to include interactive playlist content from Spotify” in your Bevy chapter pages. To learn more about how the Spotify Playlist embed code works, see the Spotify help doc for Embeds.
Variables ID for the Spotify Playlist Widget
The Spotify Playlist widget requires a “Spotify ID” to be inputted. To learn more about how to find a Spotify ID, see the Spotify “Spotify URIs and IDs” help doc.
Setting a Default Variables ID for All Chapter Pages
Admins have the flexibility to edit and configure the variables ID for prebuilt widgets, allowing them to establish default content for all chapter pages.
To set a default variables ID, follow these steps
- Click Setup or Edit for a prebuilt widget
- In the top field, enter an ID
- If ID is valid a preview of the content of the widget will appear correctly at bottom of modal
- Click Save
Note: IDs are referred to with different names depending on the source platform (see details above for each prebuilt widget).
Setting Custom Variables for Individual Chapter Pages
If the prebuilt widget is enabled, organizers have the flexibility to configure variables for the prebuilt widget via the chapter settings for their respective chapters.

Note: The embed code for prebuilt widgets cannot be viewed or modified.
Adding Prebuilt Widgets to Chapter Pages
Once you’ve enabled and configured prebuilt widgets via the Admin Widget tab, the widgets are ready and available to be added to your chapter pages via the chapter pagebuilder canvas.

Disable a prebuilt widget
- Select Edit on the widget.
- Under Available on, select Disabled.
- Select Save.
A disabled widget no longer loads on chapter pages. If already placed on a canvas, the page builder editor reports that the widget has been deleted or disabled and will not display anything. Disabling does not remove the prebuilt widget from the list.
