The blog in the Admin Dashboard lists published, draft, pending, and rejected posts. Blog access is an admin role permission. A chapter team role cannot include it.
Where the blog lives
Open the Admin Dashboard and select Blog. The lists there are for people who manage posts. Published posts can also appear on the homepage and on chapter pages.
Blog tabs
The blog has four tabs.
- Published. Posts that are live on the site. This list stays empty until a post is published.
- Drafts. Posts that are saved and still in progress.
- Pending. Posts waiting for review.
- Rejected. Posts a reviewer sent back.
New Blog Post opens the writing screen. For the draft, review, and publish steps, see Create, review, and publish a blog post.
Who can open the blog
Blog permissions use the Admin scope. They belong on an admin role. Open Members, then Roles.
A chapter team role leaves blog permissions out. Open Members, then Chapter Roles. That list has no blog permissions. Adding someone to a chapter team does not give them the blog.
To open Blog, give the person an admin role that can view blog posts. Open Members, select the person, and use Select Role. To learn more: About role management and permissions.
If Blog is missing for the whole community, the feature is turned off. Contact your Customer Success Manager. Write and Review in the account menu are also set with Customer Success. A chapter team role cannot turn those on, and checking a blog permission on an admin role does not turn them on either.
