Ask Bevy to list trusted company email domains so members on those domains can publish discussion posts and comments without waiting in the approval queue — across every forum in your community.
When your community holds new posts for approval, you can ask Bevy to treat selected company email domains as trusted. Members whose email matches a listed domain can post and comment without waiting in Pending. The exemption applies in every forum on the site.
Note: Use this for company-wide domains your identity provider controls (for example @yourcompany.com). To exempt only people in one private category, see Exempt a category from auto-moderation. To skip AI rules on direct messages and event chat, see Exempt members from AI chat moderation.
What a trusted email domain exemption does
Bevy compares the member’s email to the domains listed for your community. An exact domain match (case-insensitive) is required.
| A trusted-domain exemption does | A trusted-domain exemption does not |
|---|---|
| Let matching members publish new discussions and comments without a Pending approval hold | Stop moderators from reviewing, reporting, removing, or banning (see Moderating discussions) |
| Skip forum AI auto-moderation holds for those members in every forum | Exempt chat messages — that is a separate AI chat moderation setting |
| Apply community-wide once Bevy lists the domains for your site | Match subdomains automatically (list corp.example.com separately from example.com) |
| Usually require a verified email on that domain (default) | Replace forum team roles or category privacy settings |
Tip: Prefer short lists of domains you fully control. Anyone who can verify an address on a listed domain skips the approval hold — treat the list like a security allowlist.
Ask Bevy to add or change trusted domains
Trusted email domains are a community setting Bevy configures for your site. HQ Admins and organizers do not turn this on from the discussions Moderate sidebar.
- Decide which domains should skip approval (for example
yourcompany.com). List each subdomain you need separately. - Confirm members who should be exempt can verify an email on that domain (or already have a verified address there).
- Contact your Customer Success Manager or Bevy Support. Ask them to enable moderation exemption for those domains on your community.
- After Bevy confirms the change, have a test member with a matching verified email publish a post or comment and confirm it appears without landing in Pending.
Important: By default, only a verified email on the listed domain counts. If someone signs up with the right domain but never verifies, their posts can still wait for approval. Ask Bevy if your community needs a different verified-email rule (usually only when members cannot change their own email through single sign-on).
What members experience
Members with a matching verified email:
- Publish discussions and comments that go live right away when approval would otherwise apply.
- Do not see a special “trusted domain” message — posting works like any other approved post.
- Still follow category privacy, who-can-post rules, and human moderation (reports, removal, bans).
Members whose email does not match, or is not verified when verification is required, follow your community’s normal approval rules (for example new accounts or first posts).
What moderators see
Posts and comments from exempt members do not appear in the Pending approval queue for that hold. Moderators can still open live posts, use Moderating discussions tools, and review Flagged content if someone reports a post.
How this compares to other exemptions
| Approach | Who it covers | What it skips |
|---|---|---|
| Trusted email domains (this page) | Any member whose email matches a listed domain (community-wide) | Discussion post and comment approval, and forum AI auto-moderation holds |
| Exempt a category from auto-moderation | Members posting in one private category with a custom Participant role | Forum auto-moderation holds in that category only |
| Exempt members from AI chat moderation | Named people on the AI moderation Exemptions list | Chat AI rules (direct messages, event chat, Q&A) — not forum posts |
| Volunteer / Moderator / Admin forum role | People assigned that role on a forum team | Post approval for that forum (role permission) |
