Use Settings, then Media, to add group photos and one featured video to the chapter page. A new photo is stored when the upload finishes. Save to keep a new order, a removal, or a change to the video link. The chapter logo and banner stay on Overview.
Open your chapter in the Chapter Dashboard, select Settings, then select Media.
Note: Media under Settings is for group photos and a featured video. Media Library in the left sidebar is for recorded videos, and it appears only when your community has a media library. See About Video On Demand (VOD). The chapter logo and banner are on Overview. See Edit chapter settings.
Add group photos
Under Group photos, drag files onto Drag & drop or click here to upload, or click that area and choose files. You can add more than one file at a time. Each file must be a PNG, JPG, or JPEG under 2 MB.
The photo is stored as soon as the upload finishes. You do not need Save for a new photo to stay.
- Drag a photo to change the order, or select the remove icon on a photo.
- Select Save.
If you leave this page after you change the order, remove a photo, or edit the featured video, Unsaved data says there is unsaved information on this form, and that unless you save, it will be lost. A photo that already finished uploading stays even if you leave without saving.
Important: If the upload says There was an error uploading this file. Please try again., use a PNG, JPG, or JPEG under 2 MB. If it still fails, your role may not include Add, edit, and delete chapter photos.
Add a featured video
Paste one YouTube, Vimeo, or Vidyard link into Featured video. A preview appears when the link can play. Select Save.
To remove the video, clear Featured video and select Save.
| Site | Link to paste |
|---|---|
| YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VIDEO_ID https://www.youtube.com/live/VIDEO_ID |
| Vimeo | https://vimeo.com/123456789 |
| Vidyard | https://play.vidyard.com/VIDEO_ID https://share.vidyard.com/watch/VIDEO_ID |
Note: Paste a link to one video. A channel page, or a YouTube link that only means whatever is live right now (for example youtube.com/@channel/live), is not accepted. A mobile YouTube link that starts with m.youtube.com is not accepted. Copy the www.youtube.com or youtu.be link instead.
If Save reports Please enter a valid YouTube, Vimeo, or Vidyard URL, the link is from another site. If it reports That YouTube URL doesn’t look right, That Vimeo URL doesn’t look right, or That Vidyard URL doesn’t look right, use a link from the table.
What visitors see
- Photos appear in the photos section on the chapter page. The heading uses your community’s name for a chapter, for example Chapter Photos.
- The featured video appears in the video section on the chapter page.
- If either section is missing from the chapter page, the photo or video is still saved. Visitors do not see it until that section is on the page. See About chapter page builder layouts, elements, and components.
- On communities that wait for cookie consent, visitors accept cookies before the featured video plays.
