Create anniversary badges that members earn each year they have been part of your community, using the Years since joining trigger. Bevy Support must turn on anniversary earning for your community.
Anniversary badges celebrate loyalty. A member earns the badge on the yearly anniversary of the date they joined your community, such as a one-year or five-year badge.
Important: Members can earn anniversary badges only after Bevy Support enables anniversary events for your community. Creating the badge alone is not enough. Contact Contact Bevy Support or your Customer Success Manager before you announce anniversary rewards.
Create an anniversary badge
- Open Enterprise Forums or Discussions and select Manage in the sidebar.
- Select Badges, then select New Badge.
- Enter a Name such as "One-year member" and a Description. Upload the required badge image.
- Choose the Action count rule type.
- Set Action type to Years since joining and Required count to 1.
- Under Only count matching events, add a filter so the badge applies to the anniversary you want (see the table below).
- Set Status to Active, then select Save.
Filter by anniversary year
Each anniversary event carries the number of years the member has been part of the community. Use that value in Only count matching events:
| Badge | Metadata field | Operator | Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| One-year member | years |
Equals | 1 |
| Five-year member | years |
Equals | 5 |
| Veteran (five years or more) | years |
Greater than or equal to | 5 |
Tip: Create one badge per milestone you care about, such as 1, 3, and 5 years. Then group them in a title ladder so the highest milestone becomes the member's profile title.
When members receive the badge
- Members earn the badge on the anniversary of their join date. Accounts that joined today are not yet eligible.
- Only active members are eligible.
- Members see earned badges on their profile and Rewards tab.
