Group badges into a title ladder in Discussions Manage so members earn a profile title as they rise through tiers. Only one title ladder can be active at a time.
An achievement group collects badges in one place. A Title ladder is an ordered group: members earn the highest tier they qualify for, and that tier shows as their profile title.
Note: The Achievement Groups page appears under Manage only when gamification Manage tools are enabled. Profile titles also appear only after Bevy Support turns on title display. Contact Contact Bevy Support or your Customer Success Manager to enable either.
Group types
| Group type | How it works | Shows a title on profiles? |
|---|---|---|
| Title ladder | Ordered tiers from lowest to highest. Members show the highest tier they have earned. | Yes. Only one title ladder can be active at a time. |
| Category | Groups related badges together. Order does not matter. | No. |
Before you begin
Create the badges you want on the ladder first. See Create badges for member achievements. You can also select New Achievement while editing a group.
Create a title ladder
- Open Enterprise Forums or Discussions and select Manage in the sidebar.
- Select Achievement Groups, then select New Group.
- Enter a Name. Optionally add a Description and a group image.
- Set Group type to Title ladder.
- Under Add an achievement, choose a badge and select Add. Repeat for each tier.
- Drag tiers into order from lowest to highest. The first tier is Tier 1.
- Select Save.
Tip: Start with three to five tiers, such as Newcomer, Contributor, and Champion. Each tier should feel reachable but meaningful.
The group list shows Shows on profiles next to the active title ladder.
Change a ladder
Select Edit on a group to rename it, add or remove badges, or reorder tiers. Removing a badge from the ladder does not delete the badge.
Retire a title ladder
Retire the active ladder before you create another title ladder, or set the new group's type to Category.
- On the Achievement Groups page, select Edit on the ladder.
- Select Retire Group, then select Yes, retire it.
Important: A retired ladder stops showing titles on profiles and leaves the group list. Members keep the badges they have already earned.
