New Features — On the New Community Center

You can see all the new features that were released this year in our New Community Center. Please don't hesitate to upvote and to comment with your experience (and feel welcome to share what you love about the new features!).

We have launched a brand-new report to bring you “end-of-year” cheer!

When you go to your “Admin Analytics” and click on the “Reports” tab — you’ll see a new report called “Chapter member growth milestones”.

This report will highlight which chapters hit specific milestones — and when! This is a fantastic report that allows you to quickly and easily see which chapters have hit new milestones, and then celebrate them within your private or public community.

Speaking of end-of-year reports — please find your BEVY 2024 WRAPPED report at the bottom of the “Reports” tab under “labs”.

BVC2.0 for everyone

We have rolled out the new Bevy Virtual Conference tool to all conference customers. The new version brings with it a brand-new Backstage experience, cutting-edge video streaming as well as a refreshed UI in line with the current Bevy Virtual Meetup experience we delivered at the end of last year.

Here are highlights of issues resolved

  • User Interface (UI) and Design

    • Fix: Made design adjustments to improve the mobile display of the waitlist modal.

    • Fix: Enhanced waitlist modal design for a more consistent user experience.

    • Fix: Removed unnecessary hover effects on table headers to simplify the design.

    • Fix: Adjusted button colors to align with the updated design system.

    • Fix: Corrected alignment issues in the attendee table rows for better usability.

    • Issue: Addressed an issue where lowercase "g" was being truncated in filters and tables.

    • Fix: Corrected the default text color for social sharing components.

  • Content and Localization

    • Fix: Wrapped email table strings for better support of localization.

    • Fix: Localized missing strings in the event editing interface.

    • Fix: Short descriptions are no longer required.

  • Collaboration and Access Control

    • Fix: Addressed an issue preventing co-hosts from being added to inactive chapters as collaborators.

    • Fix: Improved ticket creation forms to leave start and end date fields blank when not specified.

    • Fix: Improved validation for ticket access codes to handle blank or missing entries.

  • Discussions and Community Features

    • Fix: Addressed failing tests in the Discussions feature to ensure functionality.

    • Fix: Corrected the placement of the character counter in the messaging box.

    • Fix: Replaced an incorrect social media logo with the correct one.

    • Issue: Addressed a caching issue that was preventing chapter member counts from updating.

  • Event and Attendee Management

    • Fix: Repaired the "Join Waitlist" button as part of system updates.

    • Issue: Resolved an issue causing broken attendee images to appear in certain scenarios.

    • Issue: Resolved inconsistency in the email-sharing option for event pages.

  • System Configuration and Automation

    • Fix: Resolved an issue where certain edge cases in browser configurations were causing incorrect handling of the site prefix.

    • Issue: Resolved an issue where YouTube ingestion was not working correctly in the automation system.

    • Fix: Updated exclusion patterns in configuration to fix incorrect matches in the website setup.
