Overview
This document provides detailed instructions on how to create and manage your global email subscription list. It includes the various methods available for users to opt into the list, ensuring you can effectively communicate with your audience.
Where can I view the Global Email subscription list?
You can access your “Global Email subscriptions” list in the Reports section of your Admin Dashboard's Analytics. This report provides a list of all currently subscribed members, as well as an option to view members who have unsubscribed. To learn more, see the List of Reports... help doc.
How can members be added to the Global Email list?
Member Opt-In During Sign-Up
Only applicable to customers who use Bevy Sign Up form
If you are using the Bevy sign-up form, new members can opt into the global email subscription list via the “Receive global community updates” checkbox during the sign-up process. This setting can be enabled or disabled in the Admin Dashboard<Settings<General<Privacy.
Please contact support if you do not see this checkbox.
CSV File Upload
Customers can request to have a one-time upload of email addresses from a CSV file to their Global Email list. This method is useful for migrating existing contacts to the global email subscription list.
Please ensure all users on the CSV file have consented to being on the Global Email list.
Steps:
- Prepare your CSV file with the list of email addresses.
- Create a support ticket to request a “Global Email list upload”
It's important to understand that the Global Email Subscription List functions based on user consent. While administrators create and manage the page where users control their preferences, administrators cannot directly add individuals to, remove individuals from, or modify the subscription status of users on the Global Email Subscription List itself. The choice to opt-in or opt-out of these global communications rests solely with the end-user via the dedicated subscription page. This design respects user autonomy and helps ensure compliance with privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
Profile Updates tab
Members can also opt in to the Global Email list via their Updates tab on their Profile page. They can simply opt in (or opt out) via the “Global” check box.
Promoting the Global Email list
You can also use Page Builder to promote the Global Email to members visiting your chapter or event pages. This can be done in various ways, but here is one example:
Creating an “Opt In” button
Create a button using Page Builder that links to the user's profile where they can opt in to the Global list.
Steps:
- Log in to your admin dashboard.
- Navigate to the “Pagebuilder” section.
- Navigate to either your Chapter or Event Page template
- Create a new button and customize it as needed.
- Link the button to the user’s profile page with the URL:
- https://[your domain goes here]/accounts/profile/#updates
- Save and publish the changes.
Community/Chapter Welcome Email
Add a Call to Action (CTA) in the community or chapter welcome email for new members/chapter members to opt in to global emails.
Steps:
- Select the desired welcome email template for the community or chapter.
- Add a CTA with the following text: “Click here to subscribe to our Global Email List".

- https://[your domain goes here]/accounts/profile/#updates
