This article outlines the steps for creating a Bevy Virtual Meetup event
Steps to create a Bevy Virtual Meetup event
-
Select Virtual as the Event Venue.
-
In the Select virtual event platform field, select Bevy Virtual.
- Select Virtual Event options
- You can enable the camera for all attendees, making it more of a meetup-style event. This is known as an Interactive Session or Many-to-Many mode.
- Enable Private Q&A
- Disable Chat
-
Add the rest of your event details, and then save or publish your event.
You can change existing events by using the Bevy Virtual Meetup platform. Even if the event started with an External URL, the permalink keeps track of the new URL, so attendees don't need to be told about the new URL.
Different Bevy Virtual Meetup Modes
Standard Mode
When you create a Bevy Virtual Meetup event, it's in Standard mode by default. This allows you to have several thousand people attend but limits how many people you can have on the camera at the same time.
Please refer to the limitations here: Limitations in new Bevy Virtual Events
Interactive Mode
To create an Interactive Session, also known as Many-to-Many Mode, using Bevy Virtual Meetup, select the checkbox "Audio & video for first 1,000 attendees".
This check box will appear once you've selected Bevy Virtual as your Event Venue. This will automatically enable audio & video for everyone who joins the call.
Please note that this does limit your overall attendee count. You can see the limitations here: Limitations in new Bevy Virtual Events.
