This article explains how to feature a specific event in the homepage callout on your Bevy Virtual community, increasing its visibility to members and potential attendees.
Before you begin
To call out an event on the homepage, you need the following:
- Admin access to the admin dashboard.
- An existing event in your community. The event can be from any chapter.
Copy the event ID
To get the event ID you want to feature, complete the following steps:
- In the chapter dashboard, select Events in the left navigation.
- Select the event you want to call out.
- Copy the event ID from the URL in your browser's address bar.
The event id is the string of numbers at the endo f the event URL. For example, in https://yourdomain.bevy.com/events/12345, the event ID is 12345.
Add the event ID in the admin dashboard
- To add the event ID and set the callout text, complete the following steps:
- In the admin dashboard, select Settings in the left navigation.
- On the General tab, go to the Content section.
- In the Homepage Special Event ID field, enter the event ID you copied.
- In the Homepage Special Event Callout Text field, enter the text you want to display in the callout.
- Select Save Settings.
The event callout now appears on your community homepage with the text you entered.
