This article explains how to create, manage, and remove sponsors in the Admin Dashboard

Global Sponsors

In the Admin dashboard, you can add and manage sponsors.  A sponsor is anyone that exchanges cash for services such as promotion. Sponsors that are added here are called Global Sponsors. Global sponsor logos appear on the chapter homepage and the event registration page.

Enable Global Sponsors

Global sponsors can be enabled or disabled in the admin dashboard. Admin dashboard<Settings<General Settings< Enable sponsor.

Create a Global Sponsor

1. In the Admin Dashboard, click Sponsors in the left-hand sidebar menu.
   
2. Click New Global Sponsor.
3. Add the sponsor details.
   • Company name
   • Company URL
   • Description (up to 500 characters)
   • Sponsor Logo (Recommended image is 700x350 pixels. JPG or PNG files only)
4. Choose where this sponsor logo will be placed:
   • Shows on all chapters
   • Shows on specific chapters
     • Admins can designate the sponsor logo to only appear on certain chapters using the search field.
     • Once the chapter(s) are selected, Admins can add a different URL  or leave it blank. It will default to the company URL listed in the sponsor dashboard when users click the logo on the chapter or event page.
5. Add Contact details.
   • Sponsor contact details are for recording-keeping purposes only. No invoices are created or generated.
6. Click Create Sponsor. 
   After they're added, you can change the status of a sponsor at any time.

*Note: Sponsors are added to the inactive section of the sponsor dashboard after creation. To make them visible on chapter and event pages, drag them to the active section of the dashboard.

 Global Sponsor status

A sponsor can be Active or Inactive. To change the status of a sponsor, click and drag the logo to the appropriate section on the sponsor dashboard.

1. In the Admin Dashboard, click Sponsors in the left-hand sidebar menu.
2. Click and drag a sponsor to be either active or inactive.

Removing a Global Sponsor

Global sponsors can only be removed from the sponsor dashboard when they are inactive. If a sponsor needs to be deleted, click and drag the logo to the inactive section of the sponsor dashboard. An 'x' will appear on the bottom lefthand corner of the logo. Click the 'x', and the sponsor will be deleted from the site.

Global sponsor FAQ

When global sponsors are created, will they also appear in the chapter and event sponsor dashboard database and be searched for?

No, global sponsors are not added to the chapter sponsor database. These are two separate databases. If a global sponsor should be added to the chapter because they should appear on the event wrap-up page, they will need to be added to the Chapter Sponsor dashboard, and then they can be added to the single event wrap-up page.

What if they aren't sponsors but partners?

In the admin dashboard, Global sponsors and partners are interchangeable because when a global sponsor is created, no invoice is generated. Bevy currently does not have a Global partner designation in the Admin Dashboard.
