These steps apply on Admin Analytics, Chapter Analytics, Event Analytics, and Report Center. They cover who can open each view, ad blockers, the two-hour data refresh, and how a full download differs from a scheduled delivery.
Use this article for the controls that appear on more than one analytics page. Which tab to open, and what each dashboard measures, stays in the article for that page.
Who can open analytics
| Where you open Analytics | Who uses it | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| Admin Dashboard → Analytics | Headquarters admins | Community-wide dashboards, including the Reports tab (Report Center). |
| Chapter dashboard → Analytics | Chapter organizers with View chapter analytics | The chapter that is currently open. Enterprise communities show a tab bar. |
Analytics in a chapter dashboard is Chapter Analytics. It covers only the chapter you have open. Community-wide reporting is Admin Analytics in the Admin Dashboard. The Chapters tab there is a headquarters view of every chapter. To review one chapter, open that chapter and use Chapter Analytics.
The Reports tab (Report Center) is part of Admin Analytics. Open it from the Admin Dashboard. See Use Report Center.
If Analytics is missing from the Admin Dashboard, your admin role cannot open headquarters analytics. If it is missing from a chapter dashboard, the chapter role needs View chapter analytics. Your community administrator assigns those roles. See About role management and permissions.
Allow analytics through an ad blocker
Some ad blockers stop analytics pages in the Bevy dashboard from loading. Blockers such as uBlock Origin do not load URLs that contain /api/analytics. Bevy uses that path in the background to open these dashboards.
If the blocker lets you allow a path, allow /api/analytics for your Bevy site. If it does not, turn the blocker off for your Bevy site and reload the page.
Check when data last refreshed
Analytics data refreshes every 2 hours. Admin Analytics, Chapter Analytics, Event Analytics, and Report Center use that same refresh. The date and time of the last update are at the bottom of each analytics page.
A browser reload shows the data from the last refresh. Filter changes apply to that same data.
Download results
A Download without extra options saves the rows the chart or table is showing. That set often stops at 500 rows. To get more, open Advanced data options and set Number of rows to include to All results.
- Open the dashboard or report and apply the filters you need.
- On a chart or table, open the three dots on that block and select Download. Use the menu on the block. The menu at the top of the page is for the whole dashboard. In Report Center, select Download in the report controls.
- Choose a file format.
- Expand Advanced data options.
- Set Number of rows to include.
- Select Download.
| Number of rows to include | What you get |
|---|---|
| Current results | The rows the chart or table is showing, up to 500. |
| All results | Every available row for the current filters. |
| Custom | The number of rows you enter. |
Advanced data options can also include:
- Results — download with the visualization options applied, or as the data table shows the rows.
- Data values — Formatted or Unformatted. Formatted values keep rounding and special characters.
The choices you see can vary by chart and file format. For which report to open, see Reports available in Report Center.
Schedule a delivery
Use Schedule delivery in the dashboard or report controls to send that view on a recurring schedule.
- Open the dashboard or report and apply the filters you need.
- Select Schedule delivery.
- Set the frequency and delivery time.
- Choose the destination and file format.
- Review the filters, display settings, and optional message.
- If you see Test now, send a test. Select Save to activate the schedule.
A scheduled report includes only the first 500 rows. Download All results when you need more than 500 rows.
Test, hidden, and inactive chapters
Whether a test, hidden, or inactive chapter is included in analytics is documented in Chapter Access and Status. Follow that article for those rules.
Troubleshoot
The page says We have a problem. Please try refreshing the page.
Refresh the page. If it still fails, the page also says to contact support at help.bevy.com. This is a load error. It is separate from the two-hour data refresh.
The dashboard never appears, and the browser shows a blocked request.
Allow /api/analytics for your Bevy site, or turn the ad blocker off and reload. See Allow analytics through an ad blocker.
A downloaded file stops around 500 rows.
Open Advanced data options and choose All results. A plain download keeps the rows on screen.
A scheduled file stops at 500 rows.
That is the scheduled-report limit. Download All results instead.
You expected a test, hidden, or inactive chapter in a chart.
See Chapter Access and Status.
