This article outlines the steps for configuring a post event survey automated email using the internal Bevy form link.
Please note that the post-event survey cannot be accessed while the event is still in progress. If an attendee attempts to view the post-event survey during the live event, they will likely see a empty page. This restriction exists because the survey is programmed to become available only after the event has officially concluded.
Edit the post event survey automated email
If you have an existing post event automated email, you can simply adjust it to use the internal Bevy form link instead of an external link. Emails already sent with the current form link will continue to send. Any post event form email that hasn’t been triggered yet would then be updated with the Bevy link.
To modify the automated email:
- Click Emails from the Admin Dashboard.
- Click Automated Emails.
- Click on the Post Event Survey email.
- In the email content section, highlight Share Feedback.
- A format bar will appear, click the link icon.
- In the Enter a URL field, click the dropdown and select Post Event Survey URL.
Please note that the Survey link is personal, and that it is built when the email is sent. The email "Preview" link will not work to test how the survey looks.
- Click the box icon in the format bar to turn the link into a button.
- After you’re done linking the form, check the Automated Email Enabled checkbox to enable this email.
- Click Save and OK.
From there, data will flow through the system and local organizers will be able to see form responses with masked names and email.
To access the survey link, recipients of this email will need to be logged in with the account they used to RSVP for the event.
Can we resend a dropped automated email with the post-event survey link?
Unfortunately, once a post-event email has been triggered, it cannot be resent or modified, as it is part of an automated email process. As an alternative solution, you create a survey with the same questions in a Google Form or similar and attach it to a New Email that you can create from the Chapters Dashboard and send to the attendees from the event.
Please note that to access the post-event survey, the user must be logged in with the same email address used to RSVP. If they can’t see the survey, it’s likely because they are either not logged in or are using a different account than the one they registered with.
