Create and maintain chapter sponsor and partner profiles in the Chapter Dashboard, including active and inactive status, order, and edits. Event placement and global sponsors are covered in related articles.
Use Sponsors in the Chapter Dashboard to maintain chapter-level sponsor and partner profiles. These profiles are the library you draw from when you add sponsors or partners to an event. Global sponsors managed in the Admin Dashboard are a separate list.
Note: The Sponsors sidebar item and the Sponsors / Partners tabs appear only when your community has those features turned on. If you do not see them, ask your HQ admin.
Understand sponsors and partners
- Sponsor — Usually an organization that exchanges cash for services or promotion.
- Partner — Usually an organization that supplies unpaid support such as venue, food, production, or promotion (also called a media partner in the product).
On the chapter Sponsors page, profiles are grouped into Active and Inactive lists.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active | Featured on the chapter page and on completed event pages for this chapter |
| Inactive | Not shown on chapter or completed event pages. You can still add the profile to a specific event. Remove is available only for inactive profiles |
Tip: Drag cards within Active or within Inactive to change display order. To change status, open Edit and select or clear Active, then Save. Dragging does not move a card between Active and Inactive.
Open Sponsors or Partners
- In the Chapter Dashboard, select Sponsors in the left sidebar.
- Select the Sponsors or Partners tab.
- Review the Active and Inactive lists for that type.
Add a sponsor
- Open the Sponsors tab.
- Select Add sponsor.
- On Sponsor info, add a logo if you have one, enter the company name (required), and optionally add a URL and description.
- Optionally open Contact details (internal) and enter Name, Email, and Phone for your team.
- Select Save.
New sponsors are Active by default. Saving a sponsor also creates a draft invoice with zero amounts for that chapter. Edit invoice amounts, send, or pay invoices in your community’s invoice workflow (see related articles when published).
| Field or section | Notes |
|---|---|
| Logo | Upload an image for the sponsor or partner card |
| Company name | Required |
| URL | Optional public website link |
| Description | Optional public description |
| Active | On create, new profiles are Active and this checkbox is locked. On edit, use it to move a profile between Active and Inactive |
| Contact details (internal) | Optional Name, Email, and Phone for your team. Not shown publicly |
Edit a sponsor
- On the Sponsors tab, find the sponsor card.
- Select Edit.
- Update Sponsor info or Contact details (internal).
- To change status, select or clear Active.
- Select Save. Changes apply immediately.
Remove a sponsor
- Edit the sponsor and clear Active, then Save, so the card moves to Inactive (if it is not already there).
- On the inactive card, select Remove.
- Confirm with OK.
Warning: Remove is available only on inactive cards. Removing a profile from the chapter list does not automatically undo placements already saved on individual events.
Add a partner
- Open the Partners tab.
- Select Add partner.
- On Partner info, add a logo if you have one, enter the company name (required), and optionally add a URL and description.
- Optionally open Contact details (internal) and enter Name, Email, and Phone.

Partners do not create an invoice. New partners are Active by default.
Edit or remove a partner
- On the Partners tab, select Edit on the partner card to update details or change Active, then Save.
- To remove a partner, make it Inactive first, then select Remove on the inactive card and confirm with OK.
