This article outlines how to create a hidden event. Hidden events allow you to keep an event private.
Hidden events don't display on chapter or upcoming event pages. For example, if you’re hosting an event to plan a surprise party, you only want to invite specific people instead of the entire community. Only people with the event URL access the event. Publishing an event generates the permalink, or event URL.
All events for a hidden chapter are hidden events. Only people with the URL can access a hidden chapter and it doesn't show up on the community homepage or in search results.
You can select the Show event on chapter page checkbox to show hidden events on the homepage of a hidden chapter.
Unless you select the Allow automated emails checkbox, Bevy won't send automated emails for this event.
If a chapter goes from being hidden to not being hidden after the event is created, the event stays hidden until you edit it. That is, the This is a hidden event and related fields stay selected until you change them.
