This article explains how to add slider images on the home page and how to add marketing sliders to community pages.
Add a slide to a home page slider
- Click Homepage from the left sidebar in the Admin Dashboard.
- On the Slider tab, click a slider in the list to edit.
- Click Add Slide to create a new banner. (Banners display on the community landing page.)
- Add information such as a title, alt text, a subtitle, and a URL.
- Upload an image. See specifications.
- Click Save Carousel.
Note that URLs are currently limited to 200 characters. If your URL exceeds this character limit, you can use a URL Shortener to be able to upload it to your slider.
Add a marketing promo
- Click Homepage from the left sidebar in the Admin Dashboard.
- On the Marketing tab, click New Promo.
- Add information such as a title, URL, and location.
The Location field controls where the promo appears. The different options include:- Above Dashboard: Above the Dashboard for Chapter Leaders and Admin users. Supports text only.
- Above homepage carousel: Above the home page slider carousel. Supports text only.
- Above login form: Above the login box on the account sign in/sign-up page. Supports text and a URL.
- Emails Top: Below emails and newsletters sent out from all your chapters. Supports text only.
- Emails Bottom: Added to emails and newsletters sent out from all your chapters. Supports a JPG or PNG image of 1200x520px.
- Public Pages: On all pages in your Bevy community. Use for community-wide announcements. This option also supports a body text field where you can add more detail about your announcement.
- Click Save Promo.
When you configure multiple promos, they can all display as long as they display in different locations.
