Bevy Virtual Meetup now offers an automated transcription feature that enhances accessibility and convenience for all users. Below are the details on how to use this new feature effectively.
Automatic Transcriptions
The transcription will automatically begin once the host joins the virtual session. Hosts can manage them by clicking on More -> Transcriptions
Managing a Transcription
In the Transcription window, hosts have several options to manage the transcription:
- View Current Transcription: See the real-time transcription of the session.
- Finish Transcription: End the transcription for the session.
- Start Transcription: If the transcription has been stopped, it can be restarted from this window.
Closed Captions (CC)
Bevy Virtual Meetup also supports Close Caption for your virtual event if there is an active transcription. Similar to transcriptions, these can be enabled by a session host via More -> Enable Captions
Downloading Event Transcriptions
If the session was recorded, Hosts will be able to download the event's transcripts via the Wrap-Up page.
Once you click on Generate Summary next to a specific recording a much more precise version of the transcription will be generated and downloaded, along with an AI-generated summary of the contents.
You can monitor the status of the generation of the transcription in the Transcripts & Summaries section. Users can also download the transcription there once it's created. The processing of these requests can take up to 10 minutes.
Transcriptions are available for all recorded sessions starting August 2023
