This documentation provides a comprehensive guide to manage and edit your community events.
This guide outlines the process of editing an event on the Dashboard. With this functionality, organizers can modify the details of an event that hasn't been completed, whether in draft or published status. In addition to the information defined during the event creation step, organizers can access various management options for event attendees.
Editing Event Details
To edit the details of an event:
- Navigate to the events section.
- Locate the event you wish to edit and click the edit option.
- Modify the event details as needed; details on the different fields can be found here.
When you edit an event while Event Updated automated email is enabled, clicking Publish will trigger a prompt asking if you’d like to notify attendees. Confirming this action will:
Send an update email to all registered attendees.
Automatically update the event details on their digital calendars.
Managing Event Registrations
Organizers have comprehensive control over managing event registrants:
- View Registrants: Click on the Registrations section to access the list of users who have registered for the event. Registrant details include their name, selected ticket, venue, and registration date.
- Check-In Registrants: Organizers can mark registrants as checked-in by clicking the checkbox next to their name.
- Actions for Registrants: For each registrant, click on the menu option next to the specific registrant to delete them or resend the event email.
Downloading Registrant Data
Registrant data can be downloaded in either PDF or CSV format:
- Click on the "Download" dropdown menu.
- Select the desired format (PDF or CSV) to download registrant data.
PDF format is great for printing and checking people in at in-person events; use CSV to get more information than what’s listed on the Registration List page.
Add Registration
Organizers can manually add registrants to the event:
- Click on the Add registration button.
- Input the registrant's details, including first name, last name, and email, and select the ticket type associated with the new registrant.
- Optionally, mark the registrant as checked-in
- Send them the Ticket Confirmation Email with the event details.
Managing Event Recordings
The recordings will be found in this section, if a virtual event is recorded.
To access the information, simply select the recordings tab on your desired event and view the recordings related to this event.
You'll be able to see relevant details, such as the name of the recording, recording time and size, and download the recording to your device
Viewing Event Page
Organizers can view the public event page by clicking the view page option from the menu. This directs them to the public event page where they can access event details and register if necessary.
