Welcome to Bevy release notes! Every month we share product updates, fixes, and general improvements.
New Features
Page Builder enhancements
- Event banner image source — The chapter banner was added as a new image source for the event page builder template in Event Page Builder. When the image source is set to the chapter banner, the event page utilizes the publishing chapter’s banner image.
- Expanded button link options in Chapter Page Builder — Admins can now effortlessly link chapter members to pertinent content or social media pages using our latest additions. These include dedicated link options for a blog category page, chapter Facebook page, chapter Flickr page, chapter Instagram page, and chapter X page.
Report Download Center enhancements
- Event start date was added as a new filter option on the event attendee's report.
- A new report, event attendees and roles, was added to the event reports section. With the addition of this report, HQ admins can see attendees and speakers (including moderators, hosts, facilitators, and other speaker roles in a combined report)
Localization — additional languages
Eight new languages were added to Bevy’s localization offering. View Bevy’s language offering list to discover the newest additions. To learn more about community localization, contact your customer success manager.
Reminder: Preparing for Google & Yahoo’s new requirements for email senders
In a new effort to further protect their users’ inboxes, both Gmail and Yahoo! introduced a new set of requirements senders must meet in order for mail to be delivered as expected to their subscribers. Bevy has you covered for most of the requirements, but there are a few important ones we will need our customers to implement to ensure all requirements are met. Details were emailed to our customers in late January, but please refer to this blog for details on how to best prepare for these changes.
Fixes
Here are highlights of issues resolved
- Fixed: In the event wrap up tab, event organizers could not link out to presentation slides using the Slideshare short code. Now, event organizers can copy and paste the presentation slides URL into the featured slides field, so attendees can access them post event.
- Fixed: The company field on event speaker cards included information that did not display for the event organizer as they added the speaker’s company information. Now when the speaker’s profile is published on the event page, only the speaker’s company information, that’s entered via the event organizer, renders.
- Fixed: The ticket confirmation email was sent to event attendees without joining instructions. Now, the event ticket confirmation email includes the help text in the body of the email for joining events.
- Fixed: When a newsletter recipient attempted to unsubscribe, they were directed to the community’s home page. Now, when a user clicks the unsubscribe link on the newsletter, a modal displays confirming they unsubscribe successfully.
