How will the Bevy Google Calendar Integration data be transmitted?
We use the Google API.
How can I test the Google Calendar integration?
Once you’ve configured all the integration settings, you can create a few test events and trigger updates. If possible, we recommend using a sandbox or personal calendar to test. You’ll need to update the integration configuration and select the correct calendar post-testing.
Can I alter the timing of this sync?
Currently, we do not support changing this.

Does the calendar invite update in real-time?
Yes, every time the event is published or re-published in Bevy, the corresponding Google Calendar invite is updated. For example, when the start and time are updated, when the event’s republished in Bevy, the calendar invite also updates. If an event is canceled in Bevy, the corresponding invite is removed from the calendar.
When I enable the calendar integration for the first time, are previously created events added to the calendar?
No, the integration does not backfill the Google Calendar with previously published events. After an event is published, post-configuring the integration, event invites are added to the calendar.
What happens if I disconnect and reconnect the Google Calendar integration on my instance?
If the Google Calendar integration is disabled, previously created calendar invites remain on the calendar, but the content within does not update. When the integration is reconnected, new event calendar invites are created only if the event is republished.
What happens when I delete an event directly from Google Calendar?
When a calendar invite is deleted directly from the Google Calendar, it’s permanently removed, even if updates are made to the event in Bevy and published. Deleted events can be restored to the calendar by removing them from the trash.
Does the Google Calendar integration take timezones into consideration?
Yes, the event times are stored in UTC format, and Google Calendar will show the times in your current calendar’s timezone.
How are recurring events supported?
When a recurring event is created in Bevy, a calendar invite for each occurrence is added to the Google Calendar. It’s important to note that in Google Calendar, they would not be linked as recurring events.
Are hidden events synced?
No
