Hosts and moderators can record a Bevy Virtual Meetup session, stop and start multiple clips, and download the files from the Wrap Up tab after the event.
Hosts and moderators can record a Bevy Virtual Meetup session. You can record more than one clip in a single session and download the files after the event ends.
Start a recording
Only hosts and moderators can record. To start a recording:
- Join the event as a host, or be promoted to moderator after you join.
- Select Record at the bottom of the screen, then confirm.
- Wait until the Recording indicator appears in the top-left corner before you speak. There is about an 8-second delay between selecting Record and the recording starting.
All attendees see the recording indicator while the session is being recorded.
Stop or start another clip
Select Stop recording to end a clip. Each time you stop, that clip is saved. Select Record again to start a new one.
A single recording can run for up to 8 hours. If you need more than 8 hours, stop the recording and start a new clip.
Record automatically
When you create or edit the event, Auto record is enabled by default. Recording then starts automatically when a moderator joins the event. Hosts and moderators can still stop and start additional clips during the event. To disable this, uncheck the Auto record option before publishing or editing the event.
Download a recording
To download a recording after the event:
- From the chapter dashboard, select Events in the left sidebar.
- Open the completed event.
- Select the Recordings tab.
- Select the download icon next to the recording.
Files are MP4 and appear on the Wrap Up tab once processing finishes. Processing time varies, so check the tab rather than waiting for a delivery email.
Recordings stay on the Wrap Up tab for 12 months, then they are deleted. Download anything you want to keep.
