This article explains how display rules can be applied to certain elements on the chapter page builder canvas.

Display Rules

A display rule allows you to control when content should be shown or hidden on the chapter page. Display rules can be applied to any container on the chapter Page Builder canvas and can be nested inside each other.

Display rule name	The container's content	Suggested use case(s)
Always	Always shows on the chapter page.
Chapter is parent	Shows on the chapter page if the chapter is configured to have sub-chapters linked to it.	To display a collection of chapters that are related either by a topic or a geographic location.
Chapter is not parent	Shows on the chapter page if sub-chapters on the respective chapter's settings is disabled. (i.e., the chapter is a stand-alone or sub-chapter)	To hide the join button on a parent chapter so site users cannot join.
Chapter has blog category	Shows on the chapter's page if the blog category on the chapter's dashboard settings is populated with a category value.
Chapter member	Shows for site users who have successfully joined the chapter.	If you only want current chapter members to register for your event.
Non-chapter member	Shows for site users who are not members of the chapter.	If you want to create a promotional banner encouraging site users to join the chapter.
Logged-in user	Shows for all site users who are logged in.	To have event tickets or chapter join buttons only accessible to site users who have created an account.
Chapter team	Shows if the site user viewing the chapter page is part of the chapter team.
Sub-chapters has content	Shows on the chapter page if the linked sub-chapters contain content.
Sub-chapters is empty	Shows when the linked sub-chapters do not have content.
Upcoming events has content	Shows when the chapter has published nonhidden, upcoming events.
Upcoming events is empty	Shows when the chapter has no published upcoming events.
Past events has content	Shows when the chapter has completed published events.
Past events is empty	Shows when the chapter does not have any completed published events.
Chapter team has content	Shows if site users have been added to the chapter's team.
Chapter team is empty	Shows if a chapter's team is empty.	If you want to post an application link or a call to action encouraging site users to become chapter team members.
Global sponsors has content	Shows if active global sponsors have been added via the admin dashboard.
Global sponsors is empty	shows if global sponsors are all inactive or none have been added.
Local sponsors has content	Shows if active local sponsors have been added via the chapter dashboard.
Local sponsors is empty	shows if local sponsors are all inactive or none have been added.
Partners has content	Shows if active partners have been added via the chapter dashboard.
Partners is empty.	Shows if partners are all inactive or none have been added.
