This article explains how to edit your profile on your community home page.
Edit your profile
- Log in to your account.
- Open your profile menu in the top-right corner, and then select Profile.
- Click Edit Profile.
From here, you can update different areas of your profile including email, website, company, location, or social media links. - Make any changes, and then click Save.
Delete your account
- Log in to your account.
- Open your profile menu in the top-right corner, and then select Settings & Privacy.
- On the Delete Account tab, click Delete Account.
- Enter your password to confirm the change, and then click Delete Account.
Your account is deleted in seven days.
Make your account private
Depending on how your community is configured, you might be select if your profile is public or private.
- Log in to your account.
- Open your profile menu in the top-right corner, and then select Settings & Privacy.
- If private profiles are enabled for your community, click the Public Profile toggle on the Privacy tab.
You won't see the option in Settings & Privacy. if your profile is not eligible for a Public profile.
Your profile may be made public if any of the following are true:
- You have an active account. (Inactive accounts cannot be made public.)
- Your community/organization has chosen to make profiles public for everyone.
- You are a blog author (you publish posts on our platform).
- You are a visible member of a chapter or team that allows public member listings.
- You have attended (or are a featured attendee of) an event that allows public attendee listings.
If your account meets the above conditions, you can choose to make your profile searchable and viewable on the site. Private profiles are only visible to you and site administrators.
Note: Site HQ administrators can configure profile visibility settings as outlined in the User Accounts article. Not all users may have the option to set a public profile depending on their account and community settings.
Enable private profiles
Users have the ability to make their profile private if the community admin turns on member profiles.
- In the Admin Dashboard, select Settings.
- In the User Accounts section, select the profile types to enable.
